The Ceppo di Gré is a geologically young ornamental stone, a sedimentary rock extracted in the homonymous town of Gré, on the slopes of Mount Clemo, on the north-western shore of Lake Iseo. Typical of Lombard architecture, its use has flourished in recent times, in the first half of the last century, when the gray-blued blocks sailed the Da Vinci’s Navigli, reaching the buildings where they are still today, solid and proud , though perhaps a little ruined by smog, in memory of a Milan that no longer exists.
Thanks to the development of stoneware in its many effects, the ceramic sector has created perfect reproductions of the Ceppo di Gré
The Marazzi MyStone Ceppo di Gré collection returns the elegance of this rock with absolute fidelity. The collection is available in 2 cool shades similar to the source of inspiration and 2 warmer interpretations. 5 formats available, including the 30×60 outdoor and 80×80 in 20mm thickness. The collection is completed by the microtessere mosaic and the highly decorative 3D mosaic. Certainly, in our opinion, the Gray color is more preferable than natural and truthful. Inside GRANDE, the large-format section of the Sassuolo-based giant, the 120×120 cm and 120×240 cm big slabs, visible in our new exhibition space, which has just been turned upside down (Let’s Think Forward!)
Let’s now move into the Florim Group. The course of Cerim has allowed the company to get even closer to the contemporary needs of architecture: new large-sized formats, modular among themselves and of different thickness, are part of this ambitious project. A new perspective for a brand that is always attentive to the different conformations of living. The brand offers Timeless Ceppo di Gré, a collection that is a synthesis of purity, modernity and elegance. The surface is definitely softer than the previous one, with a decidedly more indoor connotation. The only drawback is the glossy version, far removed from the use of the original extraction. The collection is enriched by an 80×240 cm format, placed between the Group Big Slabs, Magnum .
